Bought this looking for something I could wear under blazers and overcoats without adding bulk, and after a couple months of regular wear, I can say it does exactly that. The slim fit through the chest and arms means it actually layers cleanly ? no bunching at the underarms when I throw on a blazer, no awkward neckline showing above a coat collar. The mock neck height is honestly the detail that sold me. A lot of mock necks I've owned either sit too tall and feel restrictive, or too low and look like a regular crewneck that didn't commit. This one hits the right middle ground, sitting just at the base of the neck so it frames cleanly under a coat without choking you out. Fabric-wise, it has that soft, slightly stretchy feel ? warm without being heavy, breathable enough that I haven't overheated indoors at the office. The ribbed texture also adds visual interest without being loud, which I appreciate. Got the black in 2XL (I'm 5'11", 180 lbs) and the fit is dialed ? slim but not painted on. Through the winter I've worn it under a wool overcoat for client meetings, under a blazer with charcoal trousers for office days, and on its own with denim on weekends. It pulls all three off without looking out of place. Pilled very lightly under the arms after about six weeks of regular wear, but a sweater comb cleaned it up in a couple minutes.
